When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the email address and display name associated with your account, and a unique user ID issued by the authentication provider. We do not receive your password.
Scripts you save are stored in our database (Google Firebase Firestore) under your user ID. Only you can read or modify your scripts. We do not share, sell, or use your script content for any purpose other than providing the service to you.
Settings such as font size, mirror mode, countdown, and scroll mode are stored so the app remembers them across devices.
If you upgrade to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc.. We do not see or store your card number — Stripe handles that directly. We receive and store: your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and plan type (monthly / annual / lifetime). See Stripe's Privacy Policy for how they handle payment data.
For Pro features that call third-party AI services, we count the number of uses per month against your plan's quota. This counter is associated with your user ID and resets monthly.
Standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, browser type) are kept by our hosting provider (Netlify) for a short period to diagnose errors and prevent abuse. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.

Account info, scripts, and preferences are kept as long as you have an account. Billing records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years). Server logs are typically purged within 30 days.

CueCard Studio is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.
We operate from the United States. By using the app, you understand that your data may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our third-party providers operate. Our providers (Google, Stripe, etc.) maintain data-transfer safeguards under their own terms.
Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (OAuth flows from Google and Apple). Database access is protected by Firestore security rules so only you can read or write your scripts and settings. All traffic to the site is encrypted via HTTPS.
No system is perfectly secure. If you become aware of a security issue please email hello@cuecard.studio.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or by email.
